We are pleased to announce the launch of a new Simple Alternatives Assessment Kit – a practical tool designed specifically for formulators seeking to substitute hazardous ingredients in their mixtures with safer, more sustainable alternatives.

This easy-to-use kit helps small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and other formulators to assess potential alternatives quickly and efficiently, without the need for extensive scientific resources. The tool guides users through:

• Preliminary screening of alternatives based on hazard and economic/technical feasibility
• Step-by-step assessment of hazards, exposure potential, technical performance, economic viability, and environmental impacts
• Templates and tools to support decision-making, including links to regulatory lists, risk assessment tools, and case study databases
