International Conference "FUTURE with EMAS" to be held in Warsaw
An international conference titled "FUTURE with EMAS" will be held in Warsaw on November 6-7, 2025. The event aims to bring together experts and practitioners in environmental management to explore the integration of the Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) with other key regulatory and management tools.
The primary goal of the conference is to showcase the potential of integrating EMAS with Chemical Risk Management (CRM), Environmental & Social Governance (ESG), and the Industrial Emissions Directive (IED). The event seeks to demonstrate how these systems can be practically combined to support sustainable development, ensure regulatory compliance, and add value to organizations without duplicating efforts. For three decades, EMAS has been a voluntary instrument for Europe's most environmentally conscious organizations.
The first day of the conference will feature joint thematic sessions, case studies, and discussions on practical tools and the future of EMAS. The day will conclude with an EMAS Gala and a networking dinner. The second day will consist of closed, dedicated expert tracks for EMAS Article 49 representatives and partners of the LIFE FitforREACH-2 project.
Attendees can expect to receive the latest updates on EU regulations such as EMAS, REACH, and the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). The conference will also present real-world strategies for integrating EMAS with ESG and CRM, featuring inspiring speakers from across Europe and offering practical tools for both small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and large corporations.
The event is aimed at a broad range of professionals, including environmental and sustainability managers, EMAS and Environmental Management System (EMS) practitioners, chemical safety experts, ESG professionals, and regulatory compliance officers.
The conference is organized by the General Directorate for Environmental Protection, the Polish Forum for Environmental Management, Łukasiewicz - Industrial Chemistry Institute, and POMInnO. It is supported by the European Commission and the Ministry of Climate and Environment of the Republic of Poland, and co-financed by the LIFE FitforREACH-2 project and the Polish National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management.
